I am using the same keyboard for Linux and Windows. I disabled the Keylock for both OS, by rolling a piece of metal under the key. Nothing visible. Case solved.
Could have changed it in Linux but the others OS is for work and I can't install or modify anything on that computer.

I would expect a alien calendar to be as complicated as ours. The calendar we use is the result of a long and rich history. Their would likely be as complicated, especially if there are part of a tree sun's system.

Converting to their own proprietary format is not natively supporting Epub format. Also converting being more prone to errors, there will be unreadable ebooks more often than if the reader was supporting it natively.
Also big enterprises and governments were reluctant to change their web browsers quickly, which kept the % of use high for IE for longer than it would have been for individual users only.
