Didn't use Maps.me for years, but does it have colored hiking trails for instance? OM does, CM doesn't.
Markoff
·5 days ago·discuss
much better UI, does osmand has now colored hiking trails without downloading some extra maps?
Markoff
·5 days ago·discuss
yeah, their app will make you pay even for offline maps

Does this amazing new fork of a fork have colored hiking trails as this "dying" Organic Maps?

I know the answer, tried both, I will let myself out...
Markoff
·5 days ago·discuss
And for 99.9% it will not make any difference, but I'm sure for some percentage of users missing hiking trails in CoMaps will make difference for sure.

Why use fork of a fork which lacks features of the previous one?

Users don't care about dev drama, if it doesn't affect them.

it's actually more difficult to produce inactivated vaccine at mass scale than mRNA vaccine, which is the reason why they were producing mRNA vaccines and not the old school safe tested ones
Markoff

there are literally people in this discussion talking about these vaccines preventing COVID spread, parroting this complete nonsense politicians and "experts" made when they pushed these "vaccines"
Markoff
·9 days ago·discuss
would they die if they didn't take the vaxx? plenty people who got vaxx died anyway, plenty people who got COVID died as well, some of them from COVID, most of them were just infected while dying and COVID had really nothing to do with their death, but it was needed to pump those numbers about scary dangerous COVID so govs can go on powertrips while taking pocket money from pharma lobby
Markoff

Except COVID "vaccines" did not prevent infecting yourself or someone else, are there still people believing this nonsense? This "vaccine" at best protects you if you are old at risk and it's not good even at doing that comparable with those flu "vaccines".

> However if we’re going to talk about moral responsibility for vaccine mandates, we also have to consider moral responsibility for non-vaccination leading to spread of a dangerous virus during a pandemic.

that's all nice and dandy except COVID "vaccines" (remember, they had to change vaccine definition for this very reason) did NOT STOP the spread, they were at best protecting some old people, it was completely pointless for young healthy people to risk their lives by taking them

I remember how the vaccine narration/propaganda went - it will protect you from getting infection, it will protect you from symptoms, it will protect you from getting sick, it will protect you from serious symptoms, it will protect you from hospitalization, it will protect you from death, so now basically all they can claim it will protect you from going to hell and you can go to heaven if you use them

> Vaccine deaths were real, and very rare.

so were COVID deaths in people under 50 unless you have some health condition, extremely rare for people under 20-30, yet they pushed down the throat "vaccinesd" to everyone, not just risk groups, which is why vaccine mandates/passes hurt proper useful vaccines for decades ahead

don't wanna sound like shill but for all people claiming you need some permit when installing one they should look into something like Midea PortaSplit - it's portable, but at same time it's like your regular multisplit unit, much more efficient

personally I have at home Toshiba, father has Mitsubishi, but when living in China had experiences with all major Chinese brands like Gree, Midea, Haier, etc. and would have zero worries about their quality, they produce shitton of them for CN market

It's not tied to your app version, today morning I didn't have this option, today evening I have it with same version without update.

Seems you can switch usernames as many times you want, tried at least 5 checking something interesting, though all English international ones seem taken.

you don't need that on balcony, most of the apartments have balcony, stupid excuse, same applies for historical buildings with balcony

If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

If there is a balcony and you install it there, so nobody can see it from the street, is there an AC installed? Can you even use your balcony the way you want and place there big cardboard box if you need? Same thing. Facade is a one thing, balcony is something completely different, if you can't even use it, what's the point in having it.

funny take

Bulgaria is one of the poorest EU countries and I have seen there way more ACs than in much richer Czechia or elsewhere, this is not about price at all

heck, even in Czechia I find much more ACs in some poor cities compared to the richest Prague, I've seen bigger AC ratio per apartment in my small poor ~40K hometown than in Prague, in our 40 units building in Prague I was the first one to have AC, after many years now followed by neighbor under me, 2 out of 40 units in relatively rich Prague, crazy (though it's true our top corner of the building is warmest from all apartments)

Markoff

I mean compared to the other BMW tanks this looks actually slightly less like tank

I guess people would buy it just for the brand with whatever design, personally I find current BMW tank design the worst in last 30-40 years I am watching car design

I would need some source that Chinese cars are sold at a loss outside China, because I seriously doubt it.

It's like those people thinking Aliexpress/Temu products are subsidized by Chinese gov, not realizing that Ali/Temu is extremely expensive and you can buy products there for like 1/2 - 1/10th of their price in Chinese online shops (especially Pinduoduo), people claiming China is subsidizing this and that don't realize how cheap is to produce products. Been in China last summer, bought 4 big suitcases full of things mostly from Pinduoduo.
