I think i like the idea. But why specifically laptops, why won't they accept small computers like thinkcentres for example ?

Could be useful to quick check simple things such i18n or default behavior of a website. But for actual use, I will wait for the technical "trade-offs" as mentioned in the article.

For iOS users, "Bitchat" from Jack Dorsey is pretty similar. I'm not sure whether it syncs with Wi-Fi though, only Bluetooth
