I picked up photography for a bit and definitely lived in the lens for about 2 years. What broke me out of it, I got the idea of a sunrise shot. I stayed up all night, left home about 2am. I hiked through the woods to find 150+ people already there with the same idea. I didn't know it until I asked, but there was a parking lot 100 yards from where I was at. I looked around just really confused, waited for the perfect light. I took the shot, deleted it and went home. I didn't press down the shutter button for 5+ years after that.

Now that cell phones exist and I got a super powerful camera in my pocket at all times. I really enjoy taking snapshots. Which for non-photographers are the lowest quality of photos that someone takes(1 out of 5). Occasionally, I'll do a trip to take a picture of something, but I tone down the seriousness of it and make sure that i'm not doing more than enjoying the moment and taking a snapshot. What I really missed was getting out there, it wasn't the photography. The photography just forced me to get out there.

We're undermining it ourselves with allowing crypto to be legal & traded in the manner it is.

Ask Ukraine how much it cost them to get rid of theirs.

I'd like to see them give it another shot off the coast of the usa/canada just like last time. To see if the pink salmon population absolutely explodes like last time they did it.

I'll understand if you don't want to answer this or legally can't answer it. What does a 100gbps circuit cost a month? How about the 10gbps uplinks also?

You understand that GM sold the patent to Chevron and they forced Toyota to quit making the vehicle right?

We don't build nukes because of cost. Anything else is propaganda.

I got a panic phone call from one of of the companies I used to do contract work for, "Do you know how to buy bitcoin? We got hacked and the website isn't working and we're trying to pay so we can use our computers again."

I stopped what I was doing and drove over there. Luckily someone DDoS'd the pay site so they couldn't pay. I asked them what they were thinking. They told me that they were going to pay with their super prestigious credit card and refute the charge as fraud because in their words, "Technically, this is fraud."

I shook my head and cleaned it up and restored the backups. I asked them a week later how much data was lost. They asked me what I was talking about. Apparently they didn't have anything important they did since the backup ran the night before. They switched to a SaaS shortly afterwards. Then raided by the government & shut down a couple years later. Good times.
