Watch the videos of alphastar as it challenged the top starcraft 2 players to win. This was back in 2019 and was amazing to watch.

I agree. It is crazy how much sharing units is a major part of bar. T2 cons, transports, even units to micro by the front line. Simply typing im low on energy will often result in teammates sending a few windmills or tidals. Its a great change in rts games. Plus when i play vs bots with my kids i can send them more metal production so the can be the one marching in titans or dropping nukes and destroying all the bots without realizing the extra componding econ i sent them. They have a blast.

Its a reverse osmosis machine. You can get them for as low as $100 on amazon or anywhere. I have one at the house attached to my sink that makes about 20 gallons a day on demand and a small commercial one at work that cost 220 and makes 500 gallons a day (its about 2sqft in size) filling a large tank. Neither are large nor high in electric usage, the home one has no power, the small commercial has a small booster pump. Its the water usage that is high, to get a gallon of pure ro water is about 1.5 to 2.5 gallons of "waste". You can use that waste for watering the lawn or rinsing things but its extremely mineral heavy. You dont clean them just replace the filters every so often (not nearly needed as often as recommended)

"Let sparkling water stand uncapped overnight to degas before mixing."

This doesnt work. The water will taste nothing like the original desired base water profile. When water is carbonated the ph will drop (from say 7 to 4) and even when decarbed carbonic acid is still present from the process. In order to get the desired flavors just a ro water filter and build it back up to the desired profile.

Insurance is not a fixed cost. Property and auto insurance are, but liability is a percentage of sales, its fixed for a year then adjusted for next years planned sales.

I personally i am in the other camp and think they got the language change absolutley wrong. I already have php installed on my server why do i need to install TypeScript? The easiest website to run is in php. All other languages add a barrier.

I am no longer in software as a day job so i am not sure of my input applys. I traded that world for opening a small brewery back in 2013. So I am a bit outdated on many modern trends but I still enjoy programming. In the last fee months using both gemeni and now movong over to claude, I have created at least 5 (and growing) small apps that have radically transformed what i am able to do at the business. I totally improved automation of my bookkeeping (~16hrs a month categorizing everything down to 3ish), created an immense amount of better reports on production, sales and predictions from a system i had already been slowly writing all these years, I created a run club rewards tracking app instead of relying on our paper method, improved upon a previously written full tv menu display system that syncs with our website and on premis tvs and now i am working on a full productive maintenance trigger system and a personal phone app to trigger each of these more easily. Its been a game changer for me. I have so many more ideas planned and each one frees up more of my waste time to create more.

A lot of those pros apply to c# as well. Which claude and gemeni both do very well with.

"Right now if you have a full screen app on your main screen you can't even see what time it is."

This drives me crazy. I'm in a flow, distraction free via the full screen and break it to see what date or time it is. Even on a multi monitor setup. Which usually ends up meaning I get pulled out of that flow because I see a new notification on some other app or because I grabbed my phone to check that info.

"iPhone Air will be available in four gorgeous finishes"

Didn't the hype train around the word "gorgeous" for software run its course? To me its an immediate turn.

You can run .net without azure very easily. I personally have 4x web apps written in .net 8, razor. They used to be on a aws windows instance years ago but it was overly expensive for what I needed. Then I switched them to a small digital ocean server running ubuntu. When I started these apps I wrote them on windows 7 for windows server. I switched the server probably 2 years ago. I recently made the switch off of windows to ubuntu as my daily driver, instead of going to 11. Everything still works great. I do miss visual studio, but I am getting used to linux and its tools now. Point is, server is running and there is zero azure involved.

I just made the switch to ubuntu as my main os from windows. Firefox on windows never seemed to have any problems. Now I keep getting the same problem as your computer a. It doesnt happen every time, and i havent figured out the pattern. But clicking the x to close a tab does nothing, middle clicking the tab still closes it. Any time this problem starts I also have issues using the mouse middle button to scroll (on all apps, not just ff) Very, very annoying. Since these issues seem linked it seems bigger than just ff.

There is absolutely zero repercussions, I hire them after all licensing approval. After the point of any city or state interference. I have run some of the smaller 400-600ppl events with zero police.

I guess I live in a different world. I have run multiple large beer events. (4 or 5,000ppl at the last one) These get approved by our city and state. All I have ever been asked is if we have a security plan, not any details, just that one exists. And it's sort of in passing, usually after the we need a copy of your insurance requirement. There were not any requirements to hire an officer. I still choose to hire 3 off duty officers but that is my choice as the event host. I also call them individually as I have met many of them over time and they are worth every penny. They aren't even expensive compared to other services required.

I was thinking this same game. I quit playing starcraft/warcraft etc, because it is so important how quickly you can play and most of your focus is on the micro of your army, rather than how strategic you plan you base. While northgaurd is a very strategic city builder/resource management type with just enough fighting to keep everything interesting. Very small armys (12 is a very large army) so micro during battle is slower, less important at most for a few minutes. Putting the priority on how you have planned your base/resources. A much welcomed change in rts games.
