I visited my local allergist for this (in the USA). Basically the treatments available to me were either shots or eyedrops. The shots required visiting the office almost daily, then weekly, then less frequently. The eyedrops can be self administered. I was told both treatment options are not permanent and need to be basically done in perpetuity. The cost was a couple thousand dollars per year (basically no insurance coverage).

Seems like the treatment options are evolving pretty rapidly and these options aren't available everywhere. Or this is what I was told.

I lived in a Ford Transit (MR, 132") for 2 years. I'm a little over 6'2". I slept a little sideways and was smart with my interior build out.

Most people are shorter or spend the money on flares. (Flarespace)

Actually these new Ford vans do no get great gas mileage at all. I've owned a 2016 (lived in for 2 years), a 2022 and soon a 2023. The AWD High roof model gets 14-16 mpg before you mess with tires. I'm guessing this Trail model with the 3.5" lift and 30+inch tires will be 12mpg or less. 12-15mpg is a really easy target to hit with lots of massive vehicle platforms...

I believe wood expansion is primarily across the grain. More than an order of magnitude difference between radial and longitudinal

It varies significantly based on wood species.

Usually 'brownout' refers to a situation where an electrical grid is failing to provide sufficient power but is still providing some. It's not quite a blackout, but its also not functioning properly.

In this context it's referring to a transitory period where a feature is in a state of flux and may only partially work.
