Few months ago I was desperate for a tool that recorded the terminal and allowed me to save the animation as a GIF. While asciinema (at least at that time) didn’t have any straightforward way to do this, I looked elsewhere and found https://gifox.io and must admit have been very impressed with it.
This reminded me of my experience with HTC Desire S about 5 years ago. Bought it from Amazon, used for about 3 months with the utmost care possible only for the phone to get bricked when trying to install an over the air update.
HTC customer support asked me to post it to them. I did as I was told and after a few days they respond with a quote of about £120! According to their report, the LCD unit and the microdrive had to be replaced due to user abuse. I was totally disappointed that instead of admitting that it was a faulty device they tried to charge me for no fault of mine.
I paid £20 for return of the device without repairing and reached out to Amazon who refunded me fully without asking a single question. Notice any difference in customer service by these two companies?
My solution is to use Groovy wherever possible. It has a superb syntax, very low learning curve and compiles into JVM bytecode. There is no issue with getters and setters in Groovy - you just define the fields, which Groovy calls properties and defines implicit getters and setters.
If not for the main application code, I would definitely use Groovy for unit testing in combination with Spock Framework. You just have to try it once to realise what you've been missing all these years with JUnit.
I have that setting turned ever since I started tracking my website's traffic. But I am sorry to say, it doesn't work reliably. I still see traffic from sites such as semalt.com and a few others as you can see here.
I'm a born-vegetarian as well and would like to add that contrary to what some westerners believe, vegetarian diet isn't just about salads and vegetables. If my mental ability was affected, I wouldn't be here reading comments on Hacker News.
