Just have to pull through and get that coding done. The anxiety you are feeling right now is actually adrenaline. Just use it to your advantage to get more done. Nothing changes after we hear back. We still work whether it be with YC or not. Life goes on and so does our companies.

You just have to differentiate between your short and long term goals as goals often do change and often times they happen due to circumstances outside your control. It is very important to have goals for yourself. Family, friends, charity, career, etc in life to keep you grounded. It is also very good to start getting your children to set goals early on in life. You can't accomplish anything unless you have a goal of something you want to get done. Otherwise what are you accomplishing? Set the goal and then get it done!
There is no life quite like the pirate life and I haven't looked back once since leaving Corporate America to start the Addoway marketplace even if people still believe that starting a marketplace is almost as impossible as Arrington dunking a basketball. lol. I always said there is no sense in dreaming if you can never make any of them a reality. Entrepreneurs dream just like everyone else does, but the difference between us and the rest is that we act on our dreams no matter how crazy they might sound. You only get one shot at this life, one true shot to make a difference - you have to make it count! A great post to start a Sunday!
100% agreed with everything in this post as well. I just spent 2 weeks traveling Sicily and I have never had an experience quite like it in my life and now I am addicted. I need to do it again. The people, culture, food, way of life, everything - nothing else can compare. I ran through vineyards touching the grapes and later drank the wine. I ate from the earth and all I needed was a backpack, iPad, and the clothes on my back (and of course good shoes).
I honestly don't see anything wrong with it. Facebook is the favorite to be here for many years to come. You would have to believe that on top of stock options these individuals are getting paid quite a bit more money to switch. Maybe it's the though of getting to work for Facebook during the time when it was fun to work for Google years ago.
I have met some incredibly young entrepreneurs and I have to give it to them. BRAVO! You are a genius!
Now on to the topic about using it to their advantage to get noticed, funded, etc....I don't think it's as much as them using their age to get noticed as it is the media outlets writing about them like that. More readers are intrigued by a 19 year old getting funding like the story some time ago about Brian Wong. Very impressive and one I was drawn too because of the title (True Ventures Invests In 19 Year Old Entrepreneur Brian Wong) - it wasn't True Ventures Invests in mobile advertising platform Kiip.me. Would I have read that - probably, but I wasn't drawn to it like I was with the age mentioned title.
You can do whatever you believe you can do. Don't let anyone try to tell you otherwise. Yeah it's hard especially if you have children and a family, but it is not impossible. It's only as tough as you let people make you believe it is. Starting a startup is difficult already, but if you have the brains, the will, and a true solution to a real problem you will win.
Very nice indeed. Could you put a tracker in it to show the change month over month? Also could it show the people not on the list that are almost there etc?
