Folks have a hard time reclaiming their attention from the never ending distractions of a smart phone. If commodore can make a device and ecosystem to make that happen, I’m sure folks will spend the money.

The reality though is, most folks don’t even think how much time they spend on phones, so I hope they can become profitable with devices sold in the thousands.

More firepower for the gamers to move to Linux.

Steam will trigger a further exodus with their Steam Box once folks realize they have none of the constraints and a great experience.

Early EverQuest required groups to progress because trash mobs were hard, the environment was vast, dungeons had traps, there was no auction house and players hung out in tunnels shouting their wares.

26 years later, the nostalgia hits me every so often and I spin up Project Quarm or Project 1999 where it still plays the same, and it’s fun for awhile but I’m not enjoying it as much as I enjoyed the memories.

I enjoy the luxuries afforded by modern games, with three kids and a busy job, I wonder how anyone found the time to play as long as EverQuest required.

I have used Wipr for years, and now Wipr 2. Worth the small amount to keep intrusive ads, and it is cross platform.

The whole point of an internship isn’t to get low cost work. It’s part recruiting and part teaching students about working in the real world vs. in educational environments.

I think companies will take advantage of AI in the future to create efficiencies with the existing workforce and free up their time to solve other problems that AI cannot solve such as user research, reasoned architectures, etc.

Can you provide data on the trends so I know where to position my recruiting efforts when internships are “no longer viable?”
