We had some friends over last form the US. One 11 yr kid in the group was bored and said: ok I’m gonna go home now, I need the keys please.

He walked home by himself - maybe 500 meters… For us Europeans it was nothing to notice really, but the Americans were absolutely shocked.

I’ve shared this before, I really like this quote:

"The urge to save humanity is almost always a false front for the urge to rule."

Genuinely curious: How do you know?

Really depends on how you define high-intensity.

To build muscle, you need to push yourself to a limit. You can reduce the weight and increase the repetitions. This approach is just as effective and lowers the risk of injury.

This is a serious issue for young people I think.

I have seen outputs that look good but the actual content is bad. If you’re inexperienced in a field you can’t see it because AI makes anything look right.

I have gotten very good results with AI but you can’t take the first answer at face value. You need to be suspicious and challenging until you tweak out the right answer over time.

If they’re expecting profits like the VC backed US companies how come they behave so differently?

Even if they were fully self-financed, which isn’t the case, they would expect something in return.

I think it’s a bit ignorant to lump Europe into one.

Europe has roughly 750 mn people. When you’re in the southern parts many homes actually do have AC.

We’re not stupid. Many new buildings have ACs. The northern parts just haven’t adapted to the increased temperatures at scale yet.

I’ve noticed this too with things I’m quite familiar with.

I’d like to say it makes me more cautious about topics I’m prompting that I’m not familiar with…

But I’m also worried about the young people. What if you never had to learn something from ground up?

What does AI want? Without ambitions you have to be told what to do.
