If there is a smart shortcut we will take it. It's how we became the humans we are today. Unfortunately doesn't help with deliberate learning.

Sadly most students have not been taught how to value learning. They just want a high mark with the least effort.

The problem is the world is too big. If you could get a rough fix on where your user is and start with a focus on their local area you might get some engagement. Allow just how big it is to be something they might discover.

This is nostalgia for an era which existed for only 10 years at most. Much like bringing back flower power it's a nice idea but it's time is over.
