Literally the only people who care are SF fresh college grads. The public doesn't care about many things. They only care about their wallet, their family, and maybe the environment.
Keep thinking that informing the public will actually change things. You need a different method.
Or cars, or even Apple products. People love defending Austin, Boston, etc. Cost of living only applies to food and housing, more of less. After that $20-50K is paid, cost of living does not apply to anything you spend past $50K.
The overwhelming majority of HN readers are Democrats/liberals/progressives and support Hillary Clinton and/or Bernie Sanders and will attempt to insult and suppress any Republican/conservative/Donald Trump supporter.
You're going to back up your claim with anecdotal evidence? The overwhelming majority of people do not go to the grocery store as a social exercise. People view it as a chore. They want to get in and out as soon as possible.

You are certainly not from Texas. Stop trying to believe it is leaning center and will someday be democrat/liberal. Texans are the most prideful about their state and are proud of their rich history unlike other top states like California and New York.
