Apex is a fast-growing Dental Support Organization (DSO). We support dental practices by providing IT, business, and clinical support -- basically we let Dentists do what they love, and we take care of the rest. On the INC 5000 fastest-growing companies list multiple years running, we are expanding quickly and looking for smart, engaged developers to help us serve those who serve our patients.
To help run our business, we operate an in-house Ruby on Rails (6.0) application to aggregate data, manage reporting, payroll, and lots of other internal functions. Our tech stack and infrastructure setup is probably not what you're used to seeing, and we have lots of room to do interesting and high-impact work in an industry that can greatly benefit from modern software solutions.
Day-to-day remote work is no problem at all, but we strongly prefer someone in or near Dallas/Ft Worth (DFW) Texas so that we can have in-office collaboration and planning meetings when needed.

We want someone comfortable working remotely on a small team, although we do want a candidate who is within easy driving distance of the DFW area (Addison) to be able to do in-person meetings and other collaborative sessions.
Experience with AWS, Docker, Vue.js, and Terraform would be great, but not strictly necessary.
