You'd think we would see a large spike in unemployment if AI was reducing the number of employees needed for jobs the way these CEO talk about AI replacing people...
I did MP3s on my plex server for a while but with endless new music added to my playlists it became a hassle and Apple Music was just convenient and Shazam adding any song I hear and like is just too easy...it also plays perfectly on my Apple Watch over cellular when I go for a run, but everyone has their own use case and where they want to spend their time...
We already had Developers and the system in place this was a tiny feature in the scheme of things.
Internally it gives us a competitive advantage of the data being in our system from the beginning of the pipeline through the rest of the system where the data would be needed anyway.
We were paying for Salesforce, then built the features we needed to do the same tracking into our interal tool and got rid of Salesforce to save money and simplify the data internally across departments
I love azure app service because I can focus on our code and code security and leave server management, OS security and physical security to Microsoft.
No servers, no VMs, no containers, just our code to focus on.
What is a good alternative that allows me out of the box with no extra hardware to install a plex server, connect to Mullvad VPN and start / monitor downloads directly from the NAS device web interface or mobile App?
I had someone do this in my C# / .NET Core / SQL coding test interview as well, I didn't just end it right there as I wanted to see if they could solve the coding test in the time frame allowed.
They did not, I now state you can search anything online but can't copy and paste from an LLM so as not to waste my time.
Early college, pre-phones (only calling cards), Flight into Europe, told my cousin what time it was landing, to meet me at the airport station at such and such a time. I landed, walked to the train platform, waited on the bench, read a travel book while I waited. He showed up and we were on our way around Europe by train for two weeks. Looking back how did we pull that off pre-cellphones. Had my flight been delayed on the runway for hours or we just missed each other on wrong train platforms I had no way to get in touch, he wasn’t staying in the last hotel any longer…
What you describe makes sense and has always been the case with new technology overall
