Interesting article, but mostly irrelevant to startups. It’s basically a series of guardrails/habits that big companies need to use to eke out some progress when default mode is to not do anything.

That's true, but feels like these are always judgment calls. We can always armchair quarterback their judgment calls, but none of us have the full info. At least GH is sharing this info, which is a good call for trust building IMO.

Agreed, in it's heyday (before Intel dominated in PC era), AMD was my go-to for performance processors.
