Agree that the website should do this. But adding here that the answer is "Mostly, yes." e/os/ includes microg by default, which replaces some of the Google Services with open source implementations.

It's ugly in comparison to the cyberpunk aesthetic it failed to capture. We live in a golden age of available cyberpunk design and art, yet the cybertruck only draws inspiration from an elementary school line drawing.

I worked for a startup designing solar panel meters during the 2016 administration, and know firsthand how damaging it was. The tariffs put in place affected raw materials for the panels, but somehow not the finished products from overseas that we were competing with. The entire R&D branch had to be frozen out until it was over.

Musk's attacks on the real heroes of disaster relief is insane. And completely separately, the scummy half-truth behind his free internet claim is insane.

Getting a human to help is impossible at Facebook, and it's on purpose. I lost $200 to a scammer on Marketplace, and the only recourse was to go through my credit card company.

... Don't buy things on Marketplace that offer shipping. The seller will give you a real tracking number to an unrelated package with the same zip code destination, which means it is much harder to claim that the package never arrived to you.

Fastmail offers per-service generated addresses. I think it's kind of fascinating to watch my email address that went solely to my local credit union start sending me spam somewhat related to my employer.

Not a side project, but I just spent $500 on two UPSs for my homelab to run... Nextcloud and tt-rss.

At least I'm also not having fun and frustrated about the hosting software.

Title is fairly misleading. ADA puts hurdles to enforcement by making a person sue to get the legal minimum accessibility infrastructure.

I just found out about this app recently and love it. Hard to believe I ever fired up a full blender instance and video project to cut clips, much less regularly.

It's a good read. But I'm honestly baffled by the number of typos.

1998 Honda Civic. Somewhere over 350k miles, the odometer is broken.

I bought it for $1200 in 2011 and just never stopped daily driving it. Granted, I love doing the maintenance myself, and I easily have a few thousand dollars in tools for it lying around. Gets about 35mpg too.

I know my situation doesn't fit yours at all re: safety features and comfort. But I'm an advocate for any car that's paid off.

But he hit those marks by lying through his teeth about capability and timelines. And now Tesla cars aren't selling to the point the holding lots are visible from space.

Time to strap in for another decade of willfully misleading speculation presented as "on track for next year."

Hey, look, it's my alma mater. Back in the news for wonky gravity physics research. Gotta love it.

Thanks for sharing. I love how detailed that writeup is. And you used the tools that I wasn't smart enough to employ for mine.
