By then, my DVD and Bluray collection had grown large enough that I could continuously watch anything I had on disk for weeks, without reruns, and everything was hand picked by me, preselected to be watchable.
I tried it for a month, and when I went back to TV, it was unwatchable. The constant ads, and only two or three channels able to cover between 33% and 50% of a 24 hour cycle, meant maybe 2:3 odds there was nothing on, due to time of day, and high odds that the remaining half or third of the day, I was watching broadcasts of reruns (with commercials) that I already had on disc, commercial free.
And I was paying $150 a month for this shit. To be interrupted by fucking ads like this:

I'm already using the fucking service, paying money to watch constant ads telling me to call and sign up for the service. Really?
I immediately cancelled my TV connection.
