A few friends and I did this during Covid. We'd do 10 pushups at the top of the hour all day long. Each effort was pretty easy, but overall we'd end up doing 100ish pushups a day. After a while we'd increase the number per set a bit.

It was a fun way to bond and share in exercise therapy.

Yes, and so does trump's America.

This admin is pro-money. Anything and everything can be bought. Pardons, contracts, legal outcomes, you name it. Bribe trump and he'll do whatever you ask.

I agree with you, but the reality is...

>people won’t pay for timely and accurate news.

This won't be changed by forcing payments through API contracts or other microtransactions.

I don't pay for news today. I won't pay for news tomorrow. And so ads are the only way they will make money from me, even though I block them.

Just opened https://old.reddit.com/ in private Firefox on Windows and did not get a login wall. Able to click into comments and view links.

What platform are you using?

I would argue a nightmare for most.

Turning everything into a microtransaction / subscription is destroying what was good about the internet.

100%. I couldn't hate this more.

If this catches on and is widespread, the internet as we know it will be completely dead.

No, I don't want to pay for links I click on, ever. Sorry.

This practice was perfected by gallowboob years ago.

He would spam a link/pic/post and monitor, if the post didn’t gain traction, he would delete and post again as to not trigger protections against the same link being posted.

He was a cancer on Reddit and I’m sure he still exists under different monikers. But now there are 100s of gallowboobs.

> violently attacking someone

Jonathan Ross is the only person in that interaction that violently attacked someone resulting in death.

> Renee Good tried to run over a cop

First, your disrespectful lower casing of her name shows exactly who you are and what you are trying to do.

Second, no, she did not. We all have seen the videos from every angle. Jonathan Ross, the murderer, was not in danger.

I agree, the lack of accountability of ICE agents abusing their power and murdering US citizens is ridiculous.

It is widely reported and posted around the internet that Jonathan Ross murdered Rene Good while acting in official duties as an ICE agent.

There is no conspiracy here.

Reddit doesn’t even have my email. No way in hell will they get any real identification.

Ads are inevitable.

Enshittification is inevitable.

Interesting how those two sentences are directly aligned. I hate ad culture.

Yes. I’ve been wanting to for a while. This is the final push to swap my streaming boxes.

More like, time for Apple TV boxes to replace Roku boxes. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while but had no good reason.

Now there is a good reason.

>Are people worried they're going to start selectively enforcing copyright law?

Yes. Not only that, but to grant copyright protection only to those that are allied with/loyal to/bribe the current administration.

This would have massive, far reaching effects.

I'm only one person but that was the straw that broke the camels back for me. I no longer use any google software/services other than gmail and even that is just a spam folder at this point.

That change came after Google's changes around MV3 were released. I actively campaign against using Google anything at my job as well.

The kids have made it come back over the last few years and it is finally filtering into adult lingo. My dude.

Linting is also trivial for LLMs. I’d argue linting is one of the easiest and best use cases for coding assistants.

This story doesn’t add up.

Google is the OG of enshittification. When DoubleClick bought Google, I mean when Google bought DoubleClick, that is when Google started printing money in exchange for a terrible user experience.
