Uhh hellooo Terraform? I was just discussing docker-compose today, Terraform has the advantage of State Management..

Terraform is just as easy, but probably a combination of the two docker-compose and terraform are much more effective.. Universal Infrastructure interface is the name of Terraform's game.. They already done what you hoped docker-compose did.

Terraform deserves serious kudos for interoperation between all the clouds, docker, vmware, and literally tons of API modules.. Their Infrastructure Modules are nothing to laugh about in a JSON compatible example.. Serious, they even give Ansible a run for their money when Red Hat was all the blaze.

Uhh, yeah... That's more of a slide that under the utah mainstream culture rug and ignore it as much as possible kinda thing.

If anyone cares to pay attention to the shade that the mormon culture gives to lowlife mormonism groups around Utah you'll find very quickly Incest goes very very deep in lots of subcultures in Utah.

INCEST IS a HUUUUUGE problem in Utah.. as in THOUSANDS of inbred in Utah all in the Salt Lake Valley.

Just that nobody cares to pay attention to it long enough because its too gross to admit it stems from a mormon fundamentalist origin

Facebook is not the largest 'classifieds' marketplace, at least not everywhere, and it did not disrupt craigslist everywhere.

There are multiple other successes to replicate the classified/craigslist model:

Other good notable and successful local models offerup, maybe somewhat ebay.

FB Marketplace only began to overtake craigslist if there was not another dominant space in the area.

Here in Utah, the dominant newsmedia made a brilliant use of their traffic to bundle their news traffic with a more reputable and useful classifieds. They are still more dominant than FB marketplace in Utah, though used about equal now.

Most local newspapers had the right classifieds model before craigslist became a behemoth, though without exception local papers struggled to capitalize on their traffic and keep the flow towards their classifieds.

Classifieds were always the extra cash that gave pure profit to newspapers for a large part of their lifetimes. News and stuff sorta went hand in hand there for awhile, too bad its random BS FB news that's bundled with classifieds now instead of real reputable news sources.

Not opposed to the office myself, "new" offices are nowhere what the glory of the old office days. One hybrid day in the office meant none of the familiar faces also shared the same areas.

Instead I saw one maybe two familiar faces and the rest of the empty office was a doldrum of emptiness.. The undependable nature of the new "who's on first" office musical chairs is gaudy. It's a mishap waiting to happen, and there are no world expert managers who also have experience re-engaging a whole new social scene in a post apocalyptic world of the empty office space. Drudgery is the new office scene... Blehhh

We forget that just 30 years ago the modern day equivalent of word processors edit features would make any typewriter or scratch pad jealous. Re-writing at breakneck speeds has saved countless trees and forests, as was the old environmental concerns with writing too much.

Want to edit a long form part of any paper written in 1985? Toss the paper in the wastebasket and start over. Most decent ideas can be fleshed out with enough editing and re-writing.

Paper had the advantage of being toss-able.. On a computer, what we write seems to be so unique and special... Books are common to have been written a couple times before they are in their 'final forms'.

Public internet knowledge before the social media moat was forums, wikis, various video sites, comment boards, Stackoverflow etc...

Embracing the mess of private knowledge in automotive repair space means recording any and all private repairs and posting them publicly whether someone gets value of it or not.

Embracing the mess of private knowledge in almost any other industry gives anyone the chance to see how messy most industries are with their knowledge moats.

Eh, was semi rewarded myself for sticking my neck out at Oracle, rest of my team was let go, I was rewarded for my good attitude and small expertise just for showing up where previous coworkers couldn't. Reward was that I got to keep my job and watch my other coworkers told to take a hike... The challenge then became how to drop my cynicism more than how to work the dysfunctional org.

Games with an established online group are an awesome way to interact with the world at large.

Chess is near universal and can almost carry a chessboard wherever you go whether online or in person almost like card games or the New York parks with Chessboards everywhere.

Starcraft 2 has an establish online presence damn near over the entire world. Great casters and fun events, that are fun to watch. Progression path in Starcraft 2 is a clear path and the most transparent as far as effort to progress. This game gives you graphs and good replays of each game by default, so its geared towards progress. Has 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 modes plus a huuuge variety of other arcade and developed games.

Typical game of Starcraft 2 can be between 10 - 30 minutes and has a high ratio to fun and competitiveness, you feel your mind expand in each rank.

Check out the bronze to gm guides, here, well thought out with clear strategy, easy to follow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kuS_PgtyAP8
