I read in another post that HMC forked from before the Stoat rebrand and are maintaining their own fork until the rebrand settles down, so that probably reduces the instability.

> You might personally have seen a deer just once, but human evolution, and animal evolution prior to that have practiced this skill a lot.

Which pre-human animals evolved instincts for swerving a car to avoid a deer?

> I think the author is using the original motivation of musing on null hypotheses to derive the title "The Higgs Discovery Did Not Take Place",

It's probably a reference to "The Gulf War Did Not Take Place" by Jean Baudrillard, which took a similar critical view of the Gulf War as TFA takes of the Higgs discovery.

> the organization that was given plenty of time

One week doesn't seem like "plenty of time" to me. The guy who ack'd the initial report and created the vulnerability tracker in GitHub was on vacation.

Yeah, most artists let you listen to the whole album before you buy it. Sometimes there are songs that don't have previews, and I think there are sometimes hidden songs included with the album but not even listed, but in general you can stream a few times before buying, and then stream as much as you want afterwards.

I, for one, hope that the "product vision" people stay far away from it. It works perfectly for the thing it is: an easy way for listeners to listen to and purchase DRM-free music files.

So what this really says is that 80% of executives would have used a different approach if they had data about the subject. Which... is pretty lackluster? If you don't change your strategy in response to new data, you're bad at your job.

Man, I have backend-specific experience with .NET and all I can find are job postings for frontend, Python, and node. Where are your job postings?
