Very, very happy with my Flint 2. Rock solid.

Upgrades are “owut upgrade” these days. Pretty straightforward.

You're not worried your whole genome is being sent over to some commercial entity?

Any chance to run this on a RTX 3090 and 64GB of regular RAM with decent context size?

Nothing a few million dollars here and there can't fix ...

If you think that Github sucks, make something else and try to do it better, or don't use it.

Unfortunately this news will have no impact, neither on customer behavior, neither on policy, neither on Meta's behavior.

It’s more a sign of corrupt and morally bankrupt leadership, which should be alarming enough by itself.

Impressive, but it will take away so much sense of accomplishment from so many people. I find that really sad.

"Bluetooth does not work," Kravitz said in a recent interview, and it's not just headphones, but Bluetooth connections in general. "It's ruining important moments. Imagine the amount of times that you're with someone on a date, you're trying to set a vibe, and then you have to forget the network. On a date!"

The quote above makes absolutely zero sense to me, it's like ChatGPT 0.3a decided to write something about Bluetooth.

I use Proxmox snapshots to get back to a clean state. I’ll take a look at Vagrant too though.

I run Claude in a Proxmox VM, generally the experience has been great. In my experience it also behaves better than gemini cli, that likes to create files all over the place if set loose (lesson learned to add that requirement to the relevant .md files)

For whom are they writing this? For the sane people it's not needed and for the not-so-sane it doesn't really matter ...

Exactly.

I’m far from being an expert but geoengineering gives me the shivers. Dumping boatloads of chemicals into the atmosphere, a lot can go wrong.

How does inference work with a TEE, isn’t performance a lot more restricted?

Imo, the experiment was worthwhile, it exposed a risk, hopefully the kernel is better armed against similar attacks now.
