just genuinely curious about your MTU use case and why this is required...?

Macs are special purpose hardware for running macOS. A PC you build from custom components in your office is a general purpose machine. The gaming console example by oc is quite apt.

> "magic" is already a fairly well known term in quantum computing literature

which is fine, but the point is still valid. who looked at the state of science education in today's world and though that "magic" was a word that belonged anywhere near legitimate discourse? and more importantly WHY?

macOS already has a dictation feature that does this exact thing, albeit in real time. I use it extensively.

OP’s description in the linked article doesn’t say much more than this, so what am I missing with this particular app?

Set your caption prefs globally at the account level in the web interface.

It’s not a server or session level setting for some reason.

Sorry to say but your PDFs were malware. In 20+ years I’ve never seen this on my Macs nor the literal thousands I’ve managed with various MDMs.

Not a single picture of a diner in Worcester, MA? For shame.

I have found that it is incredibly satisfying to whip out the “no” card.

I have also found that an uncomfortable number of people do not consider it appropriate in any way shape or form. Even when it’s ultimately your call and no one else’s.

Folks don’t really like waves. They like looking at them from the shore, but freak out when it’s their turn to hang 10

But eff isn’t going to come to my aid if it’s isn’t a big story, like wireguard. We’re all just arguing circularly around the fact that companies with massive footprints can and do operate in a manner where it’s assumed that zero access is the industry standard for “normal users”

A serious project would do the work to be delivered via the native homebrew repository, not a “selfhosted” one.

Is it just me or is there not actual meat to this article? Like what specifically are the rules at issue here?

I still boycott Sony over this. Made me a PC gamer, too.

which is fine. But they didn't vet this info, just ran with it. Massive negligence & duty failure

It’s a fantastic project, but what’s the benefit of posting this here, today?

There’s no context other than the link to the GitHub project. And it’s not like this is remotely new…?

Did you have to show the airline your ID when checking in?

As far as I can tell, the TSA is one thing, while airline policy is another.

The law says it’s not required for security, but airlines might be justified in carrying out their own policies? Honestly curious.
