It looks far more constrained, especially when it comes to the validation logic, which makes sense validation-wise but honestly quickly becomes a "fate shovels shit in my face" kind of situation when it comes to code generation. As much as I love this sort of constraints I also find the union-type discrimination style "meh".

Yeah, like with 24 Hz right.

This makes perfect sense. I remember working with a pile of datasheets years ago, but my use cases have changed a lot since then. Now, I can’t find any other purpose for the device besides writing. Even if I cloned myself ten times, I still wouldn’t be able to justify the price tag.

Why is there need for their cloud in the first place? I mean if I already own a Google Drive account, why should I need a pair of hands in the midpoint to drag my data around?

Yeah, the subscription and the fact that it can’t handle simple tasks pushed me away from buying the reMarkable 2. I opted for a more convenient tablet instead. Without those features, it’s just a fancy toy that can easily be replaced by a sheet of paper. Plus, it’s heavier and needs more care. Why spend almost a grand on a device when paper does the same job for free?

In my experience, it was decent for simple CRUD interfaces, but anything beyond that turned the development into a nightmare.

Unless you want to splice lists here and there. I'm quite disappointed the article doesn't mention these features, as for most of my career, they were the only reason to prefer std::list to other containers.

I won't mind to watch some ADs from time to time. However, these guys have gotten too greedy with their advertisements and "buy premium" shit popping up every now and then. Heck, my experience without a blocker was that I had 2 freaking 15-second inserts every 5 minutes of video.
