If russia were to try to buy meta, that deal should be blocked. If china were to try to buy meta that deal should be blocked.
Personally I think Twitter is a great example of why tik tok should be banned.
It’s a clear example of how leadership can skew the algorithm to try to influence things.
Now, in twitters case they are wildly obvious about it and everyone is starting to think they’re a joke.
Tik tok isn’t run by a buffoon so anything they do would be far more subtle

Is tik tok even banned in your country? Since your perspective is choosing between two foreign powers controlling social media, sounds like an entirely different thing than in the US.
Heck just living in the wrong neighborhood in freaking Orange County California can mean the only options are att with 5mb dsl or cox charging ridiculous amounts for cable.
Im not even talking about the outskirts of the OC. If you happen to live in the wrong part of town or even the wrong building; your current internet choices could be drastically worse than the house 100 yards away.
A couple blocks down my neighbors get att fiber and google fiber. I get tons of ads for those fiber services just so they can rub in my limited choices of paying att ridiculous amounts for bad dsl or Coxs even higher prices for the lowest tiered cable.

The truck is such a slap in the face to the standard car aesthetic. It’s jarring because it feels different and causes dissonance with what I know cars are allowed to look like. Some people will hate it purely because of that knee jerk reaction.
I’m not sure I like the look but I really like how iconoclastic it is.
