Jesus Christ do we seriously need to limit our speech and get rid of perfectly good analogies for every special little snowflake?

Patents and copyright stifles innovation. Knowledge should be communal and free.

> And in Russia you saw another huge issue: How to shoot down a drone in your city without missing it and destroying something else?

More drones.

“ In a future peer conflict, the US Army will not be granted a six-month, uncontested build-up phase, nor will it operate under friendly skies.”

Depends how the war starts. Russia? USA somehow attacks? Easily 6 months of buildup in Europe.

China? Again USA somehow attacks? Again buildup in Australia, Japan, Korea.

Also US air power is absolutely supreme. I don’t see how they will be fighting in actually contested skies even only 2 months in.

Yes. Geological activity, movement in the outer core, atmosphere, oceanic currents, melting ice, earthquakes, to name a few.

Earths rotation has been unusually fast lately. So there is not enough drift to warrant a leap second.

I wonder what would happen if South Korea simply said they weren’t at war anymore. Acknowledge that yes, North Korea considers them at war with us. However, we consider us to be peaceful neighbours.

Whenever North Korea threatens them, simply reply with how sorry you are their brother nation feels this way, and you wish them a peaceful and successful future.

Leave the DMZ intact of course, but just unilaterally declare you are not actually at war and have nothing but brotherly love for them.

How does this happen? Why would something which reflects light on the outside get hotter than one which absorbs light? This makes no intuitive sense to me.

The entire countries of the Netherlands, Denmark and China, to name a few, disprove your thesis.

Yes. For example only when prescribed by your doctor. Or you could undergo the surgery without any pain killers if they are so bad?

Farmers already have plenty of incentive for hardy and resistant varieties. People already have plenty of incentive for tasty varieties.

You don’t need patents. The single biggest technology driver has been maths. And it doesn’t have patents.

Patents stifle innovation.

I at the least wasn’t, thanks for the interesting topic I’ll be delving into tonight

Whenever I hear the density problem for internet cables, I think about all the cables in the ocean and how few people actually live on the bottom of it.

No, an attempt to educate the public on how safe nuclear power actually is. It even has lower radiation levels than coal. It’s insane we aren’t using nuclear power more for baseline.
