Portrait of a Lady on Fire. The ending made me hyperventilate and cry out loud.

Last month I decided to buy RunJS license. The price was a bit too high for me, so I contacted them asking if they offer any discounts for users from developing countries. They just gave me a promo code for 20% off without asking any questions.

In Kazakhstan, we have debit card “ATMs”. You can have a named debit card printed out for you in a matter of minutes. All you need to do is to have it scan your QR in the bank’s mobile app. It’s quite convenient.

Speaking as someone who never had formal education, I recommend starting with Python. It’s easy and fun to work with. You can pick up basics of programming in two weeks. After that I’d suggest diving into HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Once you get the hang of these technologies, you go on to exploring anything that tickles your fancy.

My musical taste is pretty underdeveloped and surface-level and that is why it is not bound by any particular genre. I can barely differentiate genres, to be honest. But from what I have noticed my preferences gravitate towards electronic music. I can share my favorite albums if that'll help you: Abyss (Chelsea Wolfe), Dummy (Portishead), Ones and Sixes (Low), Ege Bamyasi (Can), Mystere (La Femme), Sirens (Nicolas Jaar), Big Fish Theory (Vince Staples), My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (Kanye), Awaken, My Love! (Childish Gambino), Soft Animals (Sofi Tukker), Modal Soul (Nujabes), Your Queen Is a Reptile (Sons of Kemet).

I'll give you an example to make my point clearer.

For the past month I have been reading Sylvia Plath's biography and works. I decided to document what I had learnt about her. I created a sort-of wiki page of her in my personal notes app. But then I went to the actual page and found the same information there.

This made me think that I needed to change my approach and I came here to ask this.

Currently, I am trying out obsidian[1]. So far, I really like it. To be completely honest, it's one of the reasons I want to start a knowledge base.

> I've been thinking for a while that a (sort of) mix of the two would be worthwhile.

Perhaps, that is a better way to go about it but that just becomes a glorified notes app.

Do you actually go back to your KB to look something up? I feel like having a KB is merely a way of reinforcing retention of new information.
