Does anyone actually believe this crap?

You think the census is what the government would use to mass identify and imprison people, not the NSA database(s)?

You think homeland security, or the FBI, or any other alphabet agency doesn't already have access to a giant list of people?

Think about what meta knows about everyone, or Google. You do realize that the US gov has read access to their core databases right?

"The census" has absolutely no bearing on any of that which you're worried about.

It's just shocking the level of ignorance that gets upvoted in the comments here now.

The bias comes from the training data.

Since so much of that training data is Reddit, and Reddit mods are some of the most degenerate scum on the internet, the models bake their biases in.

I'll post some inside baseball:

Almost everyone in ecom is running every ad network integration they can, no matter the source of traffic.

So if you click a Facebook ad, load a website, enter your information/checkout ALL of your information goes to every other network they integrate with.

You might never use TikTok, you might have every Facebook domain blacklisted, but when you clicked on a Google search "result" (ad) and checked out everything about your order was sent to meta/tiktok/applovin/400 other "networks" via S2S APIs.

Until this is made illegal, the incentive structure will ALWAYS push marketing departments to do this.

It quite literally is a race.

A space race.

*In fully reusable first AND second stage configuration.

An expendable starship would double the tonnage.

Insurance companies get a lot of (deserved) hate, but the doctor cartel seems to skate on by in the eyes of the public.

The white coats are far from blameless here.

Honest answer? The outage would need to last about a week.

We live in an absurd era where "AI Safety" means "AI that doesn't listen to the human telling it what to do".

It'll all be rather funny in retrospect.

Synology exclusively uses BTRFS afaik, and there aren't widespread stories of data loss with their products.

So given the US fed’s new insane rules about what a money transmitter is, how can anyone US-adjacent feel safe contributing?

Like the recent S wallet people the minute your software is used for anything illegal you risk extradition.

>Everytime on groups that share a userbase with Reddit, and on YouTube, you get haters. You don't know who, you don't know why, they just downvotes and burry your comment and they're not able to comment back.

I mean, this is exactly how HN works in any controversial thread.

I’ve almost rage quit the site like 3 times from having written a fully thought out high-quality reply and gotten “you’re posting too fast” garbage.

Really dang, you couldn’t have said that when I hit <reply> instead of <post>, so I don’t waste my time typing a long comment only to have it hit a brick wall?! Ugh
