I've always wondered if these license are legally enforceable. What if TikTok ignores the criticism and does nothing. Do the developers sue the company and will they get any money?
100%. The other day I wanted to do some transformations on a file using the like of regex, sed and grep. After 1 hour I just gave up and thought "hey, why not try doing it in Python". It took me just 5 minutes to write a small script, which was eye opening. Since then, I just write python scripts instead of toiling with commands I don't know.
This gives a glimpse into their bright leadership who think that their drivers are some kind of minions who will be compelled by shame. This is pure class, BMW!
I interviewed with FAANG twice this year, and both of them were rejections with zero feedback. The first one I thought went well, I had a two-way conversation with the Engineering Manager, but sadly I didn't hear back from the recruiter, so I assumed it was a rejection. The second time I cleared the initial screen question, then I had a coding question with two engineers. They gave me a problem, and I solved it but using a sub-optimal algorithm. I thought I'd done well, because it was a hard problem and the solution was not very far from the optimal one. Unfortunately, after two weeks and chasing the recruiter, I got the rejection that they went with someone else.
