>IP are also constantly changing, at least once a month.

I don't know from where you have that one sided information (maybe you life in a bubble), but my IP changes never until i leave the router powerless for more then 12 hours.

>An ad blocker already eliminates you to 40% of the internet users, which is a lot.

No it's not, but your screen-resolution combined with GPU combined with OS combined with Browser(Version) combined with Cam/Mic combined with ~location is.

Happy for you that:

1. You trust every ad comes from "google"

2. You think ~everyone/most have ISP-NAT (hint nearly ~no one has it and IPv6 is a thing too (hint 2. those are 38% worldwide))

But you care about uniqueness because of ad-blockers who are used by ~40% of all users, but a IP is "not" unique, nor the browser, OS, resolution and GPU and the combination of all those factors, but NONO the Adblocker is the problem.

>How so? You're just retrieving the data and displaying it.

Yeah displaying data...that cant be dangerous ;)

>There are many ISP's that use NAT to save IP addresses, hence an IP is not really an identifier.

Do you really think your argumentation is good?

>Using an ad blocker extension can also cause security issues,

But loading ad's are the much greater security issue.

And if you care about "uniqueness" you have that already with your IP, so you should start there with yourOwnVPN, TOR etc.

>Why do people insist on smearing OpenBSD like this?

Because they never used it on a Desktop for a extended time, however i use FreeBSD and can play any Game Linux can...thanks to Proton.

Fedora polished? Ever seen those SELinux problems after updates?

If a admin comes to me and tells me he understands Linux but is not capable of learning any BSD...kick in the butt and goodbye.

Don't search for Linux-Admins but real ones..the one's who are also capable to maintain Windows, and if they have no clue they start to learn.

> the most BSD-like distribution out there.

I would say it's Crux Linux, the spiritual father of Arch.

Sorry to tell you but there are not many lakes in the Maintains, and they are often fed through snow and water-sources from glaciers/snow-fields, from higher above. And there is not a single lake in the mountains with nearly the size/mass of a single glacier.

No snow = no glaciers grow = not water in our alps, it's not that hard to understand:

https://www.thelocal.ch/20170217/swiss-study-snow-to-largely...

https://ethz.ch/en/news-and-events/eth-news/news/2018/02/no-...

>In an initial phase, climate change will actually cause the runoff to increase, as water stored as ice is released. However, if the glacier becomes too small, it will reach a tipping point, which we call “peak water”.

>Our study highlights the “hot spots” where retreating glaciers will cause water shortages in future.

But hey maybe you know some other mysterious ways water is stored in in mountains.

I don't understand the down-votes you get..it's mostly Frances nuclear-power.

But little correction: During the Night IN Wintertime

>exception with the hydro and should stop rubbing it in all the discussions.

True, and it's not a exception, but geographically "luck", without mountains and the glaciers that comes with them, Switzerland would be as dry as Turkmenistan. It's just a matter of commonsense to use those altitude differences and water....but when all our glaciers are molten away, we for sure have to go back to nuclear-power.

Depends on your problem, programming/teach a robotic arm in all dimensions is often faster in a 3D environment or VR, but programming that arm in just 2 dimensions is probably faster done in normal code aka 2D.

It a bit like the discussion of Gui's vs Terminal even if both of them are 2D.
