When I did something similar in a Software Engineering course, we forked the repository first. Our professor obtained permission from the authors as well. Your response was understanding and kind.

This begs the question, is chat an indicator of ability? I would suggest not as how you converse with a coding agent changes as you learn. This is new to most of us - we're still trying to get a grip on it while it changes daily.

Also, if you had a rubric, you could just make it a training document after hiring the engineer using normal methods. Problem solved.

I like the idea, but performance is not described. What are the FP8 TOPS? When you pay for a monthly subscription, not only do you performance higher than a local model, but also performance increases as they become available. With this unit (the CPU/RAM specification is also absent) the hardware you get is the hardware you will always have. If you are going to compare the price of your product directly to the price of a subscription, you are obligated to describe the differences because it is not an apples-to-apples comparison. You're going to want to include some sort of multi-agent ecosystem because using it for just "chat" or "RAG" is so 2025 ...

The warehouses aren't for immigrants. They're for political prisoners. Immigration enforcement is just a practice run before it gets real.

No one seems to realize this.

Have you given any thought to using symbolic regression? Copilot suggested looking for: 1. Leptonic CP‑violating phase δPMNS 2. θ₂₃ octant (PMNS) 3. Neutrino mass ordering (NO/IO) I admit I am not qualified even to understand what my post means let alone find the answer, but it sounded pretty convincing.

It's quite an accomplishment for an individual. You might find the Pine A64 interesting. I got 6 of the 512MB models for $15 each. [1]

I plan on running Kubesolo on them since 1.0 was recently released.[2]

I'm more concerned the creators think it's great simply because they spent 7 sleepless weeks patching a broken mess.

TL;DR The article (from Sept 2019) applies the 80/20 rule three times in succession to illustrate that 50% (0.8^3) of consequences come from 1% (0.2^3) of causes. Thus, "I encourage all business owners to ... block three to four hours out of their day ... to work on the A-level tasks and projects that really matter. Avoid distractions"

Not unfamiliar advice with a simple principle: identify and focus on your priorities. That is the heart of the matter, and is why this advice works. David Allen in "Getting Things Done", and other well-known authors and speakers have similar techniques.

Which is to say that it is very likely for someone either to have experienced or to have seen this.

There was no real information in this article. The model designs will last longer because most new development will be in software updates. That's it. The page is bloated with ads to the point of uselessness.

The author of the article, James Thompson, has "more than a decade of science journalism experience" yet fails to provide sources for his articles, something a high-school student would understand. Another "AI-Generated" article on the "Alabama Gazette" names the planet "Nomad-X." The lack of information leads me to believe it is entirely an AI hallucination and a completely fake story.
