That's what one does when its product and public perception is way behind competitors.

Opening the multitasking screen and swiping up the app force stops it, I guess.

Yes, but you can federate selectively, as in choosing which other instances you want to. And, yes, federating turns you responsible for the content of the other instance (IMHO; not legal advice or even fact checked).

The feds will go after the instance admin that is sharing pirate content.

Just like in Justice, where every suspect always say they are to blame when they did commit a crime.

(It's a great book, Mark and co. are more awful people we thought they were.)

Devs reading this, please start making your apps less memory hungry.

All the people running any computer appreciate.

Ask every Windows 11 or Google consumer that doesn't give a damn for AI and, yet, has been almost forced to use Copilot and Gemini…

I wasn’t trying to convincing anyone anything. But that these glasses with cameras are pretty popular among pervs is a fact.

No, it wouldn’t.

Blog owner here. The notification prompt uses standard browser support for this. I know many people don’t like, but there are some that appreciate getting updates this way.

FYI, every major browser has a global switch to disable notification prompts like my blog did. It works as expected.

None of those mentioned in this post will ever read it. I wish I could persuade Zuck to be a less awful person…

You use normal glasses to see better. You buy a smart glass to record people without their knowledge. The only thing similar in these objects is that your wear them on your face.
rpgbr

Whatever, man. Making fun of those losers is the least damage we can cause to them. No need to defend the Zucks and co. like they were kids (although I agree they behave like children).

Note that the alert isn’t about being able or not to disable Siri. It’s about Apple Intelligence. Those are two different things. You can disable Siri AI and you’ll still have Apple Intelligence in other OS surfaces.

This week I attended the Brazilian Internet Forum, in Belém, Pará, part of the Amazon forest region. It was delightful. I couldn't watch the discussions, because I was there for a job, but I managed to take some pictures of the event and also Belém. Hope you enjoy!

Pix isn't intended (yet) for foreigners to use. It's mostly for local Brazilians, and here it's brilliant: free for personal use, really fast (frequently instantaneous, has a 10 second limit), and accessible (every major bank and most of the smaller ones supports it).

I can understand why Visa and Mastercard are worried. Apple is as well, since it refuses to support Pix in Apple Pay, which is mandatory in Brazil. But honestly? Fuck these companies. (Sorry about my French, I couldn't think of another way to put it.)

Most likely dermatitis, not bacteria infection. Weirdly, it didn't happen when I was using Huawei Band.
