As a 16 year old, telling someone something is good because of their age is very detrimental to their learning later in life. I wish people didn't treat me differently when i programmed when I was younger. It creates a fixed mindset.

A lot of people give unwarranted applause to young developers. So it's pretty easy for it to go their heads. I definitely agree that doing something at a younger age doesn't really mean that it's "better".
Is this article only important because it was posted by a student at MIT? Frankly, this is a description of any person with self esteem problems, being at MIT doesn't make it any more 'interesting' or 'deep'.
