It's been the case for several years in Lidl Germany and about a year in France

M.2 SATA cards are also a thing, I repurposed a NUC in a SuperMicro (SYS-521R-T) mini tower server with 4 drives and it works great.

Yeah I don't understand it either. Why can't you just use a card? Also, are cashless stores a real, developed thing? I've never encountered one in Europe.

I'd add that KDE Connect works great with Gnome too

What is the difference between your project and regular (european) plinths, which already have a built-in channel for passing cables?

I agree, at this point it seems clear that Windows is not their priority anymore and they're trying to scare its users away. But Windows is so penetrated into everyone's office, industry and home that they shouldn't be allowed by law to just leave it like this.

You can definitely override existing and create custom C++ components in ESPHome without too much hassle. It allows lambdas in the YAML itself.

In France (and maybe other countries) this is kind of what Courrier International [0] does but with humans curating and translating articles from around the world, and human-written summaries articles from multiple sources. It's in the same holding as Le Monde.

If it is like ESPHome, the IR sequences are included. Mostly from databases like IRDB [0]

Is the 4a still supported with security updates? What OS are you running? GrapheneOS stopped support so I scored a cheap 8a but I really dislike it. Had to boot my 4a again for some reason the other day and I realized I really missed it, it's so small and lightweight compared to the 8a.

I do have a similar story with the 2.4.1 or 2.4.2 version unfortunately. Didn't take the time to debug it or fill an issue yet but when the library (between 100 and 200G) is on a USB stick it regularly hangs for 10-15s when browsing. It always came back to normal but made me sweat every time.

Worked for a company that offers marketing & transactional SMSes: our SMS provider relayed the STOPs and we were obligated to honor it, but the provider couldn't check it.

Also, the provider relayed the STOP to the last of their client that reached the number, they had no way to trace it back with 100% confidence.

You should consider thermal printers like the Brother PJ line. A bit expensive but so small you can put it in a drawer, and no cartridge or toner at all. Just thermal paper, which I run off the same pack since I bought the printer 3 years ago.

I'm using Isso [0], it's simple, lightweight, and does the job. A demo is on their page.
