AFM had a 4096 token context window and this can be configured to have a 32k+ token context window, for one.

Google releasing Gemma 4 yesterday was prescient. Toying around with Zed + Gemma 4 on my laptop is 95% as good as using a cloud provider.

Warner Bros has had their best summer in years (Sinners, Superman, etc). HBO still makes highly regarded prestige TV series (The Last Of Us, Task, etc). This is just false.

He's in everyone's good graces because he's now known as a kookie old man from the MTV show _The Osbournes_ that aired in the mid-2000's. Same reason why Michael Jackson, arguably the most famous person of the 90s, isn't as popular after his death given his reclusiveness and scandals. We tend to remember stars for the last impact that they had — not what they started off with.

Not super great of them to release an original movie so close to Lilo and Stitch, which is still in theaters and just crossed $900M world-wide. And of course, How to Train Your Dragon, as mentioned in the article.

The U.S. is notorious for not allowing vacation time, or at least is more focused on the "grindset".

Isn't that the use-case for Micro Frontend Architecture? I've always viewed it as a second-coming of Frames. https://micro-frontends.org/

So they try to make the least-worst JVM environment which is great if you're dead-set on using the JVM, which has a lot of pros.

For most people Python/Javascript also does the job and you don't need to learn another paradigm — a Lisp — to code for it, which also makes sense.

However, learning a Lisp also makes you a better coder because of immutability and less side-effects. Hence why Clojure is still around.

The proper context, too, is that Liz Lemon is in charge of showrunning a Saturday Night skit show and is facing many challenges. "Lemon, it's Wednesday" implies that there are many things that can go wrong in between Wednesday and Saturday.

It looks like ads generally are posts from business accounts that then get a sponsored badge and some promotion among feeds. From a fediverse perspective, you won't see them unless you follow the pizza hut threads feed (to use a random example.)

I like NPR but I wonder why their slugs have that weird bit of code after the date/time

"nx-s1-5092087" looks like a random string that might trigger some automated firewalls or checks

There isn't a point to this article, it just reiterates the PDF, tacks on some half-baked thoughts about the upcoming election then admits that other countries with less immigration are going through the same problems.
