Wanting to do fancy stuff for a side project is understandable. I'd prefer my team do that, so they can learn new stuff - and only bring the techniques/tools that actually work to paid projects.

Why do you need Messenger on your phone at all? Snapchat/iMessage/etc is enough.

This is a good idea.

As another example, if I had to enter tracking IDs into some app to have a nice view of when my packages were coming I wouldn't do it.

But gmail picks them from my email for free, so I use the app every day.
