Yeah, it's definitely super slow right now.

I use the app "flush" for this, and it works pretty well.

Go watch the dev videos, they feel 100% AI. The people are real, but everything else about it is uncanny valley.

Yep, I am a runner too, ran 6 marathons with this knot and run 20 miles a week. It just never comes undone.

I came across this site in the late 90's / early 2000's as well. I've been using the Ian Knot ever since, and even forgot how to tie my shoes "normally". I will teach it to anyone who will listen to me rant about knots.

I use both in my workflows. Though with all of the features of Resolve, I still use FCP for most of my content. FCP is just faster to edit and has a smoother end-to-end workflow. Resolve is still best for colorgrading and fine details, but if you just want to get a project released on time, nothing beats FCP.

Good luck with that. I work in classical music and we can't post anything because it gets automatically flagged as copyrighted. They couldn't fix it then and they certainly won't fix it now.

I think that if a video gets accidentally flagged as AI, it might signal to the creator to create better content. If your content is flagged, then it must be of a quality that is not discernable from slop.

That's exactly what I did. It really doesn't look bad and is super cheap.

I wouldn't say comparable, but I built my desk with HomeDepot "Everbuilt" shelving system. I coveted the vistoe 606 system forever, but the price was just way too much. The system from HomeDepot looks 80% as good and is 90% cheaper. It doesn't have the pullout shelves, but I put some cabinets with rollers underneath, so everything moves out of the way and it's a truly "floating".

Seriously, almost no one uses RSS. Of course it's the best format for subscriptions, but the average person uses e-mail and understands e-mail.

I use Daniel Meissler’s PAI and it’s been an incredible harness.

Pretty much everything broken in the USA stems directly from Reagen.

No one would trust a US made router for fears of backdoors. Even if they did manage to make one, the market would be minuscule for it.

Not sure why his stuff is being slept on here on HN, but his PAI and to a lesser extent, Fabric, changed the way I use AI. PAI+Claude has been a gamechanger for me.

I wish someone would find a way to take the wireless chips and battery out of thrown-away headphones and put them into a decent pair of headphones.

It's anyone who manufactures plastic or parts. 3D Printers are the wild west of printing your own replacement parts and soon the goal will to ban these things, unless there is right to repair.

This is exactly what I do. I have Immich as just a viewer and keep everything in external libraries. This is the major failure of Immich as far as I am concerned. I really don't like "black box" style of photomanagement. I also find that NextCloud has a very good photo viewer as well, which is almost as good as immich.
