I have strong conviction that companies will now choose tech stack/programming languages based on 'tokenomics'. I am vibe coding using Clojure, a language I can read but cannot write and I never hit the usage limits even when using the latest model on Claude. I have similar experience with F#, which is a bit more verbose than clojure but absolutely beats every OOP language, Python, Typescript etc.

The reason, I use F# & Clojure is they hit JVM and CLR, two popular enterprise stacks.

In my not so humble opinion Lisp(Clojure) still remains the language of AI.

I once did some research on Mirai and found at that time Plano, TX where Toyota NA is Headquartered did not have a Hydrogen station. Not sure if they have one now. It is such a limited car and because of the infrastructure stuck to LA and San Diego, I guess.

Pure range is 500+ miles but not many Hydrogen stations.

I have donated and was immensely disappointed the donations thus far are about $16K.

note to self: take HN righteous indignations less seriously.

No wonder State Department is called Foggy Bottom (I know the real reason) but it lives up to its name.

Daylight Savings has real effect on the northern states than southern states.

One of the arguments for Day light savings change is that -- it would still be dark during the time kids go to school in winter, early spring and late fall, many places in US will not have Sun rise at 8:00am. No matter how much we may be removed from the nature -- our wakeful hours are directly impacted by Sun rise and Sun set. On the other side, there are discomforts in moving the clock twice a year across the board.

When I didn't know better I thought them as some kind anarcho libetarian group, but behind every effective cyber offensive there is always a powerful actor.. mostly a state or private interest.

Peter Zeihan predicted this in 2017. There is first of many wars to come.

Because UK when they discuss Trade Agreement with 'Murica needs some chips for leverage.. I am pretty sure, someone is still kicking themselves (in UK) for the deepmind's Google purchase.

It is prudent for the world we are ushering into. I do not blame them. The world in which ARM was bought by SoftBank is different literally and figuratively.

From what I heard (5th hand info) in China, most of the restaurant workers went to work for eCommerce and food delivery jobs.

I do not recollect the name, but there is an Indian restaurant with that concept near New Brunswick NJ.

Are you an entrepreneur? Have you built a business? When things are done to extreme sure.. the slimy salesman or the spammy robo-calls are a nuisance.

Take a list of the world's 400 billionaires and ask them who has NOT Cold-Called?

My guess is its less than 10. Or to put it another may, most successful people Cold-called, their "heros" or experts in their field or successful people in town etc.

So I disagree the way you put cold-calling.

If you want to start a business, I strongly suggest you to change you attitude towards Sales. Unfortunately, Engineers have this unjustified hate towards Sales, not every sales pitch or call is unethical or pushy.
