I know. Now that I know that for a fact, it does say much about the founder of a website that I'm supposed to trust the privacy of my family and data wouldn't be sold because the site is dying, no one wants to pay for the product and ads isn't bringing any much to keep the site going.
If indeed UDID is still available down at the OS level, which iAd is working at, then wouldn't this be anti-competitive and ad networks has a shot of getting Apple for it?
I take issue to this and it's because iAd is probably using the same approach tracking users. There is no known way to track users across applications ( applications released by the same company ). Again I take issue to iAd and if iAd is only the service that has access/ability to track users, isn't there an anti-competition conduct.
I actually had the same idea and eventually decided not to pursue it. The main reason was i couldn't convince myself that people will go though the loop of downloading an app and mobile is way fragmented, so you can support iOS but what are the other 4/5 platforms?
If you could remove the requirement for the need to download an app, you'll have a better change.
The huge problem I see here is their buttons looks exactly like the "Like" button and could be confusing to Facebook users into thinking their official Facebook buttons/features.
It's the valley. People learn and move on. Same for Hsu and same for the people working there. Most importantly at what price? In this case it's 1.5M and a whole lot of reflecting.
