I did this once fore awhile, and it was worth it for the period of time. But at times, having extra cash (or the expected salary based on your lifestyle) can also go a long way!

In the end, it's about managing priorities (at the time) and stress. Working less that increase focus and avoid burn out by giving you freedom to do "other" personal things.

Agree! dev.to for example is a nice place.

However, Medium is a like a book publisher for articles. It's a good way for simple and/or new articles to get an audience that wouldn't elsewise.

Inoreader (two accounts attached together).

Currently also using NewsBlur for Stackoverflow tracking with fetchrss.com for FB and other custom feeds, however, I am moving those into my second Inoreader account.

For GitHub project tracking I use BazQux, and still do.

Written book content is so dramatically different than online content.

The single fact that books have to be reviewed, edited, and published takes on a whole new world of quality and information.

Personally, I don't even bother with ebooks due to the lack of creditability in the quality of information and writing.

So, yes they are.

Don't want to be fired.

However, what would get me the most is the interaction/attitude between my team and boss.

Also, a terrible salary makes for a low tolerance.

From a programmatic point-of-view, inadequate framework, legacy code, and disagreeable methodologies.

If you have to ask the question, you don't need it nor truly want it, so why bother?|

A Masters is good enough; you are above most people but not too deep into the trenches.
