I'm working on Osaurus, AI harness for local models. It's for macOS, written in Swift.

Open source would make them an instant credible leader, major fumble (still can be fixed)

I've been building native macOS harness called Osaurus https://osaurus.ai/

It's full featured with agent loop, gets work done locally.

It's open-source and Swift-based, we built our own inferencing engine since every other engine is based on Python. Check us out - https://github.com/osaurus-ai/osaurus

Looking for some feedback!

The framing here assumes you need to ship native to all 3 platforms to justify leaving Electron. You don't.

I've been building a native macOS AI client in Swift — it's 15MB, provider-agnostic, and open source: https://github.com/dinoki-ai/osaurus

Committing to one platform well beats a mediocre Electron wrapper on all three.

I'm focused on building it for the macOS ecosystem

This looks cool. I actually created Tweaks - https://tweaks.io/

I've been building with local AI, on Apple Silicon. It's only 8mb, but runs 30% faster than Ollama.

Not yet, but can be supported in the future

I just finished https://tweaks.io, it's open-source and MIT licensed. Let me know your thoughts!

I used to be an admin in CAL (Cyber Athlete League), wrote my own mIRC scripts for support desk tickets and had a janky PHP interface for managing scores. Good times!

I've been building Dinoki, a native desktop AI companion for macOS and Windows that runs without the cloud. Just published our updated roadmap. Would like feedback, especially on balancing autonomy with transparency.

SEEKING WORK | Remote | Frontend / Fullstack / AI Product Engineer

Staff-level engineer with 15+ years experience shipping consumer products and internal tools at scale. I’ve led frontend and fullstack work across high-growth startups and large companies (FAANG-level), including building tools used by millions and launching AI-native desktop apps (macOS/Windows) focused on privacy and local-first design.

Highlights:

* Scaled a no-code platform to 100K+ users → acquired

* Solo-built an iOS app featured by Apple

* Led product-engineering efforts across AI agents, RAG, and LLM integration

* Extensive experience with React, TypeScript, Swift, GraphQL, and OpenAI APIs

Looking for: contract or part-time work focused on early product development, AI UX, or building polished tools fast. Bonus if you’re building something weird, ambitious, or human-centered.
