This is what helped me not be bothered about my Tinnitus anymore: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNjDBOJfMfY

The article briefly links to another article that Tinnitus triggers your fight-or-flight response and I agree. You need to get rid of this instinctive response by moving it more into your awareness.

My life is so much better now.

Location: Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Remote: Optional, work from office in Amsterdam is fine

Willing to relocate: No

Technologies: Go, Python, Django

Résumé/CV: upon request

email: [email protected]

Senior Backend / Full-Stack Developer (20+ yrs exp)

I’m a highly experienced full-stack developer with 20+ years in software engineering, ranging from frontend to infrastructure and cloud. While I can work across the stack, my main interest and strongest expertise is designing and building scalable backend systems, primarily in Python and Go.

I’m comfortable working with modern infrastructure and tooling, including Kubernetes, AWS, databases, CI/CD pipelines, testing, and code reviews. I actively explore and form practical opinions on emerging technologies and trends, including LLMs and newer ecosystems like Rust.

I’ve held leadership and CTO roles in the past, but I’m currently looking to focus primarily on hands-on engineering and building products. I enjoy collaborating with teams, mentoring when useful, and contributing to engineering quality and delivery practices.

Looking for: freelance or employment opportunities Location / Work Authorization: Native Dutch / EU citizen Languages: Dutch and English (fluent)

CV and additional information available on request. If you reach out, please include what you're building and what kind of role you're hiring for.

Reason I posted this is because kagi's t-shirt shop is up, which is a bit of a weird move for a search engine. There has been some critisism on their lack of focus and giving away 20.000 free t-shirts to early supporters? I do love their search engine though...

(not affiliated with them in any way except being a paying customer)

I love kagi, so the fact that they're down sucks even harder. But they're honest and transparent about the situation. Not that "increased level of errors" or "degraded experience" nonsense
