Hi All,
I'm a junior developer trying to work on some projects and learn to code. I built this project in rails, let me know your thoughts :)
In the "comments" page, for example https://www.happinews.co/links/5 , add a link to the article. In HN my "workflow" is to open the comments page of the interesting items in a new tab, click to read the article, and then click "back" to read the comments and upvote.
You need more post, like 5 per day. Reddit faked it with sockpuppets, but I perhaps you prefer to make the posts with the real names of the developer team. Anyway, more post and more comments, interesting comments.
Sometimes it's easier to get traction here with a technical post. Tech stack? How big is your server? Spam problems? (Don't worry, you will get spam sooner or later.)
Someday you will also have moderation problems. Each one has a different definition of happiness. The initial community is important.

I think it is great service, only happy news! Is this only human post, or auto collect with sentiment analysis? I use light news search with https://newsapi.org
At the moment, only human posts, but will look into this. Thanks!
I like it.
How are the links sorted?
A few minor issues on mobile:
1 /newest looks funny because of the wide URLs.
2 From the sign up page, I can't tap the log in link--it's too close to the bottom.
3 Tapping the happy face logo makes the menu blink briefly.
4 Forgot your password page is too wide. (In desktop mode, too)

Thanks so much for this! Will get to work on these
This seems really cool, if worked upon well, can actually be a thing, plus it made me smile lol.
Lemme know if I can help in any way :)
Awesome well I'll try and work upon it. Feel free to post whenever you see something that might suit. But thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for the tips! And yes, planning to seed with posts more and more as this goes on
