Is Snapchat is real spying app acting as IM?
It requires camera + mic access all the time, no encryption or anything. so is this why valuation of Snapchat is that high because of data it provides to certain spying org. ? It's not a consp. theory if you think about it.

Snapchat was supposed to be the WhatsApp / Insta / Facebook killer, but its value is lower than all those platforms. It's still rather niche. In terms of privacy it's still a nightmare and looks like it won't be fixed soon because it's easy to monitor and the authorities like that.

Yes there is revenue and users but app is wayy beyond what it could be. Nothing to do with being best product or anything close. But data they collect and provide? that is real. unlike other chat apps

Yes - Tencent (China) owns 12% of it. China lures guys to Snapchat via dating apps (Tinder) probably to blackmail them.
Why would the financial valuation of a company be an indication? That just means they make a lot of revenue and it's estimated they will in the future.
