This is a blow in particular to anyone who likes the Radio3 classical music station. The BBC may even block VPNs like Proton so there might be no workaround eventually.
I'm sure someone will "restream" it from within the UK for foreign listeners, a sort of reverse pirate station...
Probably because of the licensing fees to the rights holders. UK only rights would be much cheaper than world-wide
