Almost seems like menial work that your CEO might be using to gain a better foothold on gathering external investments. My experience with CEO's says that they aren't complete morons. I hope for your sake there is another valuable reason why he has you all doing this work.
I've always used a mantra of "You can't win the game without playing it".
A large majority of recruiters and job searchers in the world use LinkedIn. If you're not willing to throw yourself out there in the LinkedIn world, I think you'll find you're not opening yourself to enough opportunities for your career growth.
This is strictly from a growth perspective though.
I got my current job and wake up incredibly happy every day, and this opportunity only came because I glossed-up my linked-in profile and a few recruiters expressed interest.
Linked-In networking might be a terrible and sometimes cringe-y game to play, but trust me, you'll be glad you expended the few braincells it took to fake it when employers and recruiters start knocking.
Ah, an outlier. I don't see any significance to this story other than being a $TSLA trigger word... I've seen many people, including truck drivers get hurt as a result of relying too much on technology (Lane assist, auto-headlights, etc). This is why they're all labelled as an assistive technology.
The driver should have seen a gigantic truck blocking his entire lane, and though it was a failure of autopilot to not detect it, autopilot shouldn't be receiving all the blame for something that is inherently not its job to do 100% perfectly.
Highly recommend this.
I'm a consultant, and I got offered a $12,000 raise after working with my company for two years and working for three seperate extremely high value clients.
I put in my two weeks notice the day I received an offer from a competing company nearby that I'd applied to for a total renumeration package roughly equivalent to a $45,000 raise at my old job.
Shop around. Always. If you don't, you'll never know.
I like to think of it as someone losing out on free stuff. It costs nothing to write up an updated resumé and throw it into the abyss of companies that are hiring. Possible gain by doing this? A lot. Possible loss? Maybe an hour of your time that you spent applying to the job.
