The rabbit hole of putchar and getchar is unfortunately nasty. Everything else is super simple, except maybe one part of compiler affecting another part far far away.
At one point all my Get-Time-Stamp-Count instructions were returning a multiple of 16. Clearly, I could never get certain words with such a counter.

Mine is 20,000 lines including assembler unassembler and HolyC compiler. It doesn't use an AST, it uses a stack machine intermediate code. Mine is JIT and AOT. It doesn't support elf, just my own BIN format. It doesn't translate to ASM on back end, straight to x86_64 machine code. Mine can compile 100,000 lines a second.
I forgot! I did a thing called "Autypes" which was a language for automating driving ticketing commands with lists of data. There was a server task and clients.

I converted reports from ASM to Pascal. I made a file compression archiving package for the VAX and PC. When I changed school to electrical engineering for my masters, I changed departments at Ticketmaster. I made 68000 ASM image processing and mechanical design for a stack fed barcode reader. I made hardware and firmware for an 8051 300 VA Line conditioner. I made the firmware for a 68000 ASM Octart-based RS232 barcode reader networking device.
Just remember that Zynga has no dignity and they do a service by write paychecks to many employees. They have the misery of downsizing. Justice catches-up.
