The problem for me is i have ADHD + i maybe on the spectrum ( i never got diagnosed)+ dylexia and i can't write for shit. come to think about it im not that smart either. IDK. I have a one man shop online business. I only really have 1 skill . I only know how to sell. I grew up in NYC selling fake rolex watches to german tourist back in the day. I mostly worked in luxury retail on madison ave selling luxury handbags for like $30k a pop. I had a job i could not take direction then i started my own business. I launched in 2018 and then i found out that anyone can copy you at anytime. I had kind of a breakdown in 2024 when everyone started to copy my whole business. I kept going . Kept learning SEO / Google ads / enginerring now with Ai its the best thing that ever happened to me. I learned how to build feaures. I am not rich but i have freedom of time. I LOVE working out during the day. I love waiting for my daughter to get home from school. We have dinner together every single day. We went to mexico and NOTHING changed for me. I was still working making money. for me since i can't work in tech and no tech company will hire me. I only know sales so i think for me i had no choice but to launch a business. I am very happy right now. I hope i don't go out of business. idk if i have any suggestions but if you are not good with sales get good at it. You should build a landing page for your idea and start testing. Spend your money to find a legit copywriter, have him write out the copy to communicate your business value prop ( clearly). You need a logo. Design, Dev, CMS ( wordpress) for payment processor use STRIPE. Make sure your site is stupid fast and keep it simple with a focus on clarity. Next, you need to start testing, testing , testing and then iterating weekly or monthly until you start making money. Try to make money from the jump.
To be honest, The customers do that now. they share my site whenever they see someone looking for the best spot to sell a Tesla. I don't sell personal info to marketers. I also have a guy to write a blog post a few times a week.
I hit up a bunch of forums where tesla owners hang out , ask for help like best spots to sell thier teslas without being tracked and i listed for them for free and asked for $50 when / if they found a buyer. This was back in 2016. It was all the honor system. I actually didn't plan anything. I just kept experimenting over and over and over jacking up the price / testing all day and night. I think there was a LOT of luck too.
I use STRIPE as my payment Processor for my 1 man shop. They are great. Stupid simple. They even offered me a cash advance. All i need now is for stripe to be my bank to keep all my money in there and pay my business bills from it. One stop shop to run my business, would be great! What would even be more useful to me then lending me money, is if they help me build my v2 and take a slice from my business. Finding engineers is hard and very expensive for a small online business like mine.
