I really want to read a bunch of old papers from the IEE library but it looks very hard to get access to at any reasonable price for personal usage.

Anyone got any hints or tips for me?

These chips appear to be 8051s with multi hundred MHz DACs.

Be fun to program them but I can’t find any programmable devboards with the Capstone CS5213.

Gemini suggested to me that a number of these chips are “industry standard drop in replacements” for each other effectively clones.

But finding more information to settle it would take googling in a desktop for a few hours chasing down weird Chinese forum rabbit holes.

>> A photo revealed the chip was a NX3303X; I could not find any datasheets

Not much information out there but these are similar chips, possibly it’s a clone?

Capstone CS5213 datasheet:

And also the AlgolTek AG6200 / AG6201 Series, datasheet:

I’ve seen a few posts about a “better social network” tried a few even thought about making my own.

It seems hard to get them off the ground.

I wonder if the answer to the enshittification of social networks is “no social network at all”.

Google Gemini is that naysayer senior developer who confidently tells you it can’t be done.

Claude is that easy to get along with smart hard working guy who just gets on with it and builds it double quick.

ChatGPT is the eager senior developer who says it can be done but can’t actually work it out and fluffs it.

Then it bounces back.

If programming requires LLM/AI then regulation by government is needed to stop this overreach, which has the primary goal of banning you permanently forever making sure you can never come back to programming, in the event some AI in their system decides you have done something “wrong”.

But it IS “digital detox” and Christian Simpson has said many times that’s what Commodore is.

Despite Christian’s YouTube channel being all about retro and nostalgia, that not what Commodore is about.
