We shouldn't be the least bit surprised no human has complied so far.
If they had, then we wouldn't be having this conversation. For all we know, there may be a vast multiverse of universes some with humans and we would only find ourselves having this conversation in one of the universes where no human pressed the button.
Well, I think we can say C is archaic when most developers write in something that for one isn't C, two isn't a language itself written in C, or three isn't running on something written in C :)

What is one's "own voice?"
Nearly all speech patterns, dialects, accents, patterns and phrasing is learned from one's social circle. Speech itself is "learnt behavior." It makes sense that those engaged in a subculture or online community may take up the way people talk in that sphere of social influence. Before hand, speech patterns evolved apart from one another due to geographic distance. In the modern era, it doesn't seem unreasonable that one would have greater influence from an online community than a local one.
I don't see any reason to privilege a specific, arbitrary way of speaking to be "normal" and one's "own voice" and others to be learnt behavior one "recovers" from.
Eh, sending $1200 on a hobby doesn't seem all that problematic to me, especially if one is getting additional utility from it. It's not like the cat is going to go missing behind a pile of hard drives any time soon.
