Not true, most people in IT are perfectly happy with the same job every day and don't need to be on the cutting edge. We just want a decent pay check. Most of us are born into this economy, we don't really want to work.
Agile is shit. It hasn't done anything but increase the cost of software and overhead for technical teams. It's ridiculous how much time is wasted just to "be agile". It's a scam, total scam sold to huge companies because it provides a high level overview of the work being completed.
This is also why companies should always evaluate using on-prem cloud instead of letting the big 3 host. This is not talked about enough, I think it's because there aren't a lot of people on here that have scaled for Fortune companies
Wrong. Think scaling, Docker will allow me to take a 3rd party app, containerize it and place it in an on prem cloud. I can use the containers for DR or migrating infrastructure. It solves a huge problem for Fortunes
Damage already done. I quit prime years ago because of the Chinese garbage. I found that I save money on eBay and don't have to pay for prime. I also don't have to give Bezos any of my money. Fuck that guy
Anything to deter H1B is great in my book. I'm sick of these guys coming over here and taking our jobs when we're perfectly capable of doing it ourselves for the same pay. It's time companies stopped skimming and started paying American workers
Gotta love it, this is the same dumb ideology Agile spews. Develop develop develop, forget about fixing issues - They'll magically go away... It's clear that these people do not work in Enterprise environments
I don't find Aldi all that special. Very limited selection, their store brands are no where near as good as organic alternatives such as Simple Truth (Kroger). I'm not really saving all that much when you factor in how far behind Aldi is in convenience factor either. A lot of their policies are annoying and I hate the lack of customer service because the employees are too busy wearing many hats. They don't offer curb side pickup or online ordering. Coupons? Nope Fuel? Nope
To top it off, I'd rather keep all my grocery dollars in American companies - they do far more for our communities than Aldi/Trader Joe's.
Aldi has carved out a niche but they aren't a huge disruption. Grocery loyalty is big business no one is giving up on.
PS: be wary of Aldi articles, they're notorious for astroturfing Reddit and news blogs.
